Discussion post #5 Sensory impairment Sensory Loss: Hearing and Vision Purpose: To help raise consciousness regarding loss of a sensory function. Procedure: Chose one of these activities.  Pair up with another student, coworker, family member or significant other. Have the person blindfold you. The other person should guide the “blind” student (you) on a walk around your home, workplace or wherever you like.  During a 5- to 10-minute walk, your guide should converse with you the “blind” student about the route you are taking. OR  Watch the first 2 minutes of a television show with the sound turned off. (e.g., the news report or a rerun of a situation comedy).  In the discussion board, share observations and answer the following questions. Discussion 1. Were perceptual differences noted?
