Due to the possibility of school closures as a result of the Coronavirus outbreak, I realize that some of you may not be able to complete parts of the final. You will select ONE disability from the 13 IDEA Disability Categories and write a research paper and develop a presentation. Here are a couple of websites where you can review the 13 IDEA Disability Categories:

Part A. You will develop a research paper that is a minimum of 3 pages and follows either MLA or APA format. Please keep the font size at 11 or 12, and you may only use the following fonts: Calibri, Times New Roman, or Arial. • What are the symptoms?
• What causes the disability?
• How does it present in children/adolescents?
• How is it diagnosed?
• What are the treatments available? Be sure to discuss treatments that are research-based, as well as those that are biomedical (natural/integrative). What does the current research say about what works well for children/adolescents?
• How does the disability affect the student’s ability to learn in a classroom/school environment?
• What are supports or accommodations that can be made for a student with this type of disability?

Part B. You will create a presentation to share your findings.
