Define sexual orientation. Define gender identity. How are these different?
After viewing the video clip “When did you choose?” in the Week’s Resources, discuss
when/if you feel you made a choice about your sexual orientation. You can also google “When Did You
Choose” on youtube to see various examples of this experiment about sexual orientation.
Paragraph 2:
• Explain what race is and discuss how it is constructed.
• View the video “Class Divided” experiment in the posted resources and give a
brief synopsis of the video in 4 or 5 sentences.
• Could this experiment take place today? Why or why not?
• Discuss two specific things from the video that really consumed your attention or
surprised you. You must be very specific.
